September 25, 2013

If you are setting up your Tuition.io loan profile, but do not wish to provide your social security number, you can visit the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) and easily download a text file with your loan information. You can then upload this information directly to Tuition.io!

Here’s a step-by-step process to retrieving this text file and bringing it into Tuition.io.

STEP 1

Go to the NSLDS website and select “Financial Aid Review”.

STEP 2

Click Accept on the next page.

STEP 3

Click Accept on the next page again.

STEP 4

Enter your social security number, the first two letters of your last name, your date of birth and your PIN.

STEP 5

Click on the download icon.

STEP 6

Click confirm on the next page.

STEP 7

Save the file to your computer.

STEP 8

Return to Tuition.io. On the page that prompts you to “Identify Your Federal Loans”, scroll down to the section where you can “Upload Your Student Loan Data File from NSLDS”. In this section, click the bottom link to upload the data file. Voila, you’re done!
