When you visit our Website and use our Services, you may provide us with certain personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, your e-mail address, phone number, social security number, Student Loan Account Information (as defined below), and Tuition.io password. If you use our Gift Payment Feature to make a Gift, we will also ask you for your credit card information. We refer to all of this information as “Personal Information.” We do not collect any Personal Information from Visitors to the Website unless you provide us with the Personal Information voluntarily (for example, by registering for an account).
You may ask us to access your student loan accounts on your behalf in order to collect certain information about your student loans. We refer to your account with a third party that maintains information about your student loans (such as a loan servicer, collection agency, bank, or other financial institution or organization) as your “Student Loan Account,” and we refer to the information we collect from your Student Loan Account as the “Student Loan Account Information.” If you provide us with your user name and password/pin in order for us to access your Student Loan Account, you authorize us (and/or our trusted third party service provider) to access, collect, use and share your Student Loan Account Information as necessary to provide you with this Service. If you provide us with your Student Loan Account Information in connection with your redemption of a Gift made to you through our Gift Payment Feature, we will use that information in order to apply the Gift towards payment of your Student Loan Account.
We will use your Student Loan Account Information and other Personal Information to provide you with information regarding your financial situation and to help you find out whether you are eligible to restructure your student loans and to enable you to use our Services to apply for some forms of loan restructuring (such as through a federal loan program, loan consolidation, deferment, or forbearance). We may subsequently access your Student Loan Account when you: (a) log back in to use our Services (so we can make sure we have the most up to date information about your student loans), and/or (b) to see if the loan restructuring we helped you apply for or the payment we scheduled for you has gone through. If you are redeeming a Gift made to you through our Gift Payment Feature, we will use this information to schedule payments to your Student Loan Accounts.
We may automatically collect other types of non-personally identifiable information when you visit the Website and use our services online such as your network location, the IP address of your computer, and what sections of the Website you visit.
In addition to using and sharing the Personal Information and other information of Company Registered Users in the same way as our Registered Users, we also disclose Personal Information to your employer or your university, as applicable.
You may access, remove, review, and/or make changes to Personal Information that you have provided to us by e-mailing Tuition.io at privacy@Tuition.io. In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any Tuition.io marketing e-mails. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases. You cannot opt-out of receiving transactional e-mails related to your account with Tuition.io.

We strive to maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to secure Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We use industry-standard SSL (“Secure Socket Layer”) encryption technology, a secure server, and other physical and procedural safeguards to protect the security of such information.
